Founded in New York in 1924 by David Trevas, Travers Tool Company was known for its commitment to quality, value, and availability. Through WWII and the 1950's Travers grew into a trusted metalworking supplier for the Northeastern region in the USA.

The sixties saw Barry Zolot introduce the inaugural catalog, expanding the company's reach nationwide.
Throughout the seventies and beyond, Travers Tool broadened its product line and embraced global sourcing. The eighties and nineties brought state-of-the-art warehouses and international branches, enhancing service and innovation.

Since the turn of the century, the company has expanded its service and product offerings, ensuring machinists always find the right tool.
