The KENT USA® KTCS-2000II lathes are high-speed, high precision 30° slant-bed CNC lathes featuring precision linear ways and large servo motors that provide fast rapid traverse rates and accurate positioning.
The KTCS-2000II has an 8" (203 mm) 3-jaw hydraulic chuck. Standard maximum turning diameters for the machines are 11.8" (300 mm), with greater maximum lengths and diameters possible via options including long-bed versions. Maximum speeds of the 20 hp spindles are 4,500 rpm.
High-speed rapid traverse of 1,181 in/min (30 m/min) in both axes reduces non-cutting time while the 12-station bi-directional high-speed servo turret delivers index times of 0.23 seconds tool to tool or 0.56 seconds for a 180° index.
Slideway mating surfaces are hand-scraped to ensure a close fit. The headstock, tailstock and saddle all are mounted on the same plane to maximize thermal stability and machining accuracy. The cross slide is mounted on a 30° angle to facilitate free chip flow of chips and coolant. The machines have the rigidity and accuracy that results from being cast in heavy Meehanite iron.
Standard equipment on the KENT USA® KTCS 2000 II Series includes a chip conveyor, a programmable tailstock quill and a complete coolant system.
