In 2023, YouTuber THE METALIST began the mass production of his popular fist hammer. Due to an exclusive request from Dubai, THE METALIST is now producing his lifestyle product in a luxury version.
The fist hammer originated in a YouTube video with over 32 million views.
Behind this is THE METALIST, known in everyday life as Dirk Ahrendt. Due to positive feedback and high demand, the idea arose to produce the hammer in series. The lifestyle product is fully functional, explains Ahrendt: "My fist hammer is a robust tool for any craft project. The massive cast iron is durable and stable -- this hammer is not just a display piece," he says.

The designer tool was originally offered at a price starting from $320, including a gold-plated variant. When the exclusive request from Dubai came, it was quickly clear: THE METALIST would create a true masterpiece. A hammer that unites luxury and functionality like never before.
Custom-Made from Pure Gold
The gold hammer is cast from five kilograms of pure gold. The finest craftsmanship is required to achieve the unique design. First, a wax mold is created, which is then coated with a five-millimeter thick layer of minerals in the next step. The 24-carat gold must be melted and poured into the mold before it can harden accordingly. The casting and hardening process requires utmost care and expertise to ensure the quality and durability of each hammer.
Secure Transportation for International Deliveries
The production and transport of such a valuable product entail great responsibility.
Frederic Lanz, CEO of The Metalist UG, sees the hammer as a symbol of luxury and craftsmanship that will endure for generations.
Strict security standards are significant both in the foundry and along the entire transport route. The fist hammer is also in high demand internationally. "We knew our designer tools struck a chord," says Frederic Lanz, CEO of The Metalist UG. "We can already count numerous celebrities, including some from Hollywood, among our customers. However, we did not expect this exclusive order from Dubai."
