ExOne has introduced the S-Print Pro™, an industrial sand 3D printer built specifically for smaller operations, pattern makers, and regional print service providers. The system packs the accuracy of premium, high-end platforms into a machine that operates in under 12 square meters of floor space.
This footprint allows smaller shops to adopt binder jetting without undergoing expensive facility expansions. It gives budget-conscious foundries the ability to compete on both cost and flexibility.
Advanced Surface Quality and Tooling Flexibility
The machine brings high-tier engineering to a smaller scale. It features a CoreBoost™ printhead operating at 400 dpi resolution.

Metalcasters can also utilize StepX™ in-situ surface-smoothing technology. This feature targets and reduces the "stair-stepping" effect common in layered printing. The result is smoother sand molds and cores, leading to cleaner as-cast surface finishes that reduce secondary machining time.

In contract manufacturing, downtime destroys profitability. The new printer addresses this with user-replaceable printhead modules, a two-canister quick-change system, and a service-friendly layout. A full job box can print in under a single shift. This allows small operations to maintain agile, single-shift workflows while rapidly delivering spare parts and niche tooling.
