Fives' AddUp FormUp 750 moves metal laser powder bed fusion into a massive industrial scale, eliminating the traditional compromise between component size and component precision.

Born from the France 2030-backed MASSIF project, this heavy-duty system offers a substantial 750 by 750 by 1000 millimeter build volume. This expanded envelope allows engineering teams to print massive individual components, pack hundreds of smaller parts into a single run, or consolidate complex multi-piece assemblies into unified, seamless structures.
To overcome the slow build rates historically tied to large-format additive manufacturing, the machine features a multi-laser architecture that scales up to 12 Ytterbium continuous fiber lasers. These can be configured at either 500 or 1000 watts, allowing high-volume shops to aggressively maximize daily throughput without losing strict process control.

To maintain uniform part quality across this vast build plate, the system utilizes adjustable laminar gas flow, dedicated lens protection, and automated platform heating up to 200 degrees Celsius. Advanced overlap management software ensures that critical areas where multiple lasers meet remain structurally sound, dense, and completely free of internal defects.
Targeting high-stakes sectors like aerospace, defense, space, and energy, the platform prioritizes rigorous quality traceability and real-time process monitoring.

This digital oversight guarantees repeatable mechanical properties and fine feature resolutions for high-value metal parts. Backed by the global infrastructure of Fives, the machine successfully bridges the gap between ambitious additive design freedom and large-scale industrial reality, providing a highly reliable, long-term production cell for advanced factories transitioning into qualified, full-lifecycle manufacturing.
